This is the Eveready Marine Services mobile, mechanical dewatering system. The dewatering system is the innovative alternative to conventional removal and disposal of sediments from various water systems.
The initial phase of the removal process is the surgical removal of sediments utilizing the lagoon pumper. The lagoon pumper removes material with a precise combination of pumper location and cutterhead depth.
The dredged material is pumped from the cutterhead to the surface and then along the floating pipeline to the conditiong tanks.
The removed material slurry passes over a vibrating screen assembly to remove large debris which drops onto the sludge conveyor. The screened slurry then enters the agitated conditioning tanks.
The conditioned slurry is then pumped to the high "G" centrifuges where optimal separation produces a dry cake and centrate. The dry cake discharges to the conveyors and the centrate is returned to the water source.
When required, the separation process is enhanced by injecting flocculating polymers into the feed prior to entering the centrifuges. The dewatered solids are then loaded for upland disposal.
